I have terminated my "website," kenwolman.com. I don't like feeling endangered and invaded in space I created, regardless of its merits. I had not looked at the site in over 3 months, which ought to tell you something.. It's been longer than that since I worked on it. When I did look at it, upon receiving the quarterly invoice, it appears someone had hijacked me by putting some verbal garbage there (a phony URL) in place of the homepage. I contacted my host. They fixed it. But I wrote back and said "Close me down" because I do not exactly trust web security in general, and the host's in particular.
I work on the blog as I can. When the year of Typepad expires I'm going back to Blogger.
POI--the cat (her name, for the record, is Pushkin) is not dead. At 16 she's not doing tapdances like Ann Miller in "Kiss Me, Kate," she's on the short side of a long life, but she sat in front of me yesterday morning and stuffed her face on some smellier-than-usual cat food. And snarled at the 95-pound dog when the big tough guy-cats dove under furniture. Long may she rock.
