A lovely fragile-strong poem, Tina.
"delicate as a rapier" and "bent by small embarrassments -- she dips her
head" --- especially fine.
Others poems you've sent in, as well, offer unique portraits of surface
appearances and their actual foundations. I sense in this poem millenial
reverberations, themes of ages.

Subject: best part of a bottle T - a poem
delicate as a rapier
she walks.
the Frenchman breathes
his words in
'ah, a lady' and
bent by
small embarrassments -
she dips her head
exposure as a freak
presumes no tenderness
