FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES
Forthcoming opportunity: Making the Connections Improvement Fund: A total of
£9 million is available for this and the next two financial years to support
joint working in public service projects across Wales. The fund supports
projects that improve public services and stimulate significant change from
better ways of working and innovation.
Projects receiving support under the Improvement Fund will generate know how
and best practice, therefore to ensure that this is shared across the public
service, we will publish such details on this website as information becomes
available.
We anticipate that the 2007 round of the Improvement Fund will be announced
at the end of 2006, most likely in December. We will publish details of this
nearer the time on this website.

Update from EUCLID (e-mailed to EUCLID alert subscribers on 04/08/2006):
'CULTURE 2007
A quick update regarding the likely timetable for the 2007 call for Culture
2007:
* Informal announcement of final criteria - October 2006
* Formal announcement of final criteria - February 2007
* Deadline - April 2007
It appears there will be little difference between the informal and formal
announcement - the reason there are two is that although it is likely the
criteria will be finalised in the early Autumn, the official call cannot be
announced until the new financial year (i.e. after 1 January 2007).
Interested applicants should, however, begin to develop their projects (if
you haven't already started) immediately after the October announcement, so
they are well prepared when the formal announcement is made in February 07,
as there is then likely to be only two months before the deadline.
EUCLID hopes to be able to start running special half-day Culture 2007
workshops in December 2006 or January 2007, to help people with their
applications.'
