one thing that I found handy in sparky was that you could flip/rotate
relative to the current orientation, so it wasn't necessary to know
whether x,y,z corresponded to w1,w2,w3 etc.

If you do I think it would be good to separate undo's which
affect viewing (which area of spectrum is shown) and real edits
like changes in peaks, resonances etc. (but you thought of that of course...;)
