Rural e-Services: participatory co-design of sustainable software and business systems in rural co-operatives.

Salary £20,234 to £26,402 per annum
The researcher will work on an EPSRC funded project Rural e-Services: participatory co-design of sustainable software and business systems in rural co-operatives.
The work will involve participatory design with microfinance co-operatives in India to devise feasible and sustainable systems to enable microfinance co-ops to offer e-services in remote areas. The post will involve extended travel in India, as well as collaboration with the Overseas Development Institute (London) and the Department for International Development (Oxford University). Candidates should hold (or be about to obtain) a PhD or should have comparable experience of conducting independent research in at least one of: participatory ICT design; ICT in international development; participatory methods in international development.
