I'm sorry I thought this list was meant to be somewhat of a higher
level than some of the others which were known for being stormy and
then died a death as they became the mouthpiece for a single interest
....

Depends whether the opinions are acceptable and don't rely on insults
to groups or individuals ...
It is also a sad state of affairs where consultatns are blaming
trainees and other health professionals who work in their departments -
if the consultant wishes to be king ( or queen) then s/he must act like
one and not a spoiled child who has had his trainset taken away...

Part of 'what did we do well' is finding the things we need to improve
in doing - or decide it’s not for us and make sure that those who do do
it do it well

Why because you will not be able to stamp your 'authority' unquestioned
...
The reality is there are nurses who for want of a better turn of
phrase see Nursing as a route to something else - usually NHS lay
management and they will sell their grandma never mind their colleqagues
to get to that job , and be prepared to play every politically correct
card they can to do so ...
These nurses get in the way of those who want to be good nurses AND good
at emergency care ... We are at a cross roads which if the current
government and typical NHS lay management get their way wilplunge the
NHS to sub 3rd world levels as experienced Nursing staff leave / are
made redundant ( and go to serve new master, I nthe priavte secotr,
military , or leave nursing and drive trains , buses , taxis or UPS
vans or walk into managemnt roles in retail and manufacturing !
The potential outcome is that A+E departments are left with an
increasingly inexperienced but hugely expanded Medicla staffing (F1 and
F2s... ) with fewer and fewer 'expensive' Nurses because management
have cut the band 6 and band 7 roles to the bone and beyond and
diminished the Band 5 numberts to the bounds of safety if not beyond
and filled this staffing gap with cheap but 'Not Very Qualified'
