LUCAS Open Day
Liverpool University Centre for Archive Studies is pleased to announce that
it will be hosting its first Open Day for prospective postgraduate students
on Tuesday 12 September 2006 from 12:30pm.
The Open Day aims to introduce prospective postgraduate archive and records
management students to Liverpool and to LUCAS, to answer questions around
the profession and what it involves and to allow prospective students to
meet and talk to academic staff and affiliated professionals.
The Open Day will feature talks by professional archivists and records
managers on their roles, the type of work experience that is expected of
prospective students, departmental and campus tours and a 'taster lecture'
to demonstrate what it will be like to study at LUCAS. The day will finish
with an informal drinks reception providing an opportunity to chat to
academic staff and professionals about aspects of archives and records
management education and the MARM programme.
More information about the Open Day can be found on our website
www.liv.ac.uk/lucas/events and places can be booked by contacting Lizzie
Woulfe on [log in to unmask] or by telephoning 0151 794 2414. Places are
limited so early registration is recommended.
Please can colleagues kindly pass on this information to any prospective
students whom they feel may be interested in the event.
Many thanks
Lizzie
