Call for articles
Social & Public Policy Review is a new international peer reviewed journal
to be launched in 2007. It will publish high quality articles on themes
regarding the broad spectrum of social policy. This may include, but is
not exhausted by: policy design and decision-making, the role of the
private sector in delivering public policy, globalisation and social
policy, social divisions and social policy, the normative foundations of
social policy, comparative analyses of social policy, scholarly reviews of
particular policy initiatives, policy implementation and policy
evaluation. All substantive areas of public policy, including criminal
justice, social security, health care, education, economic management, the
environment, the regulation of financial markets, corporate governance,
fiscal policy, social work and local regeneration are relevant to the
concerns of the journal.
Social & Public Policy Review is a fully peer reviewed, English language,
online journal that will be published twice a year. It is advised by an
international and multi-disciplinary Editorial Board. The journal will
publish articles of the highest international standard and will, from time
to time, commission leading researchers and scholars to contribute
articles and to host themed editions.
Each edition will publish five articles of between 6,000 and 10,000 words.
It will also include a section on "developments", which will include
commentaries on new and current developments in public policy. Articles to
be considered for "developments" should be between 3,000 and 5,000 words.
