Good afternoon,
We are currently undergoing a job evaluation scheme which is soon to report.
All post descriptions (or job descriptions) have been updated. The question
then is: "How long do we keep the old ones for?" Interestingly it is not the
first time that they have been updated, but nobody asked the question
before!!
Anyway, it has been suggested to keep for 6 years from the year the new
description comes into effect. This length of time is in line with other
types of personnel records in the Scottish Forces.
I would be grateful if you could share your views on this retention.
