Its a long shot...
But as I failed to persuade most of my fellow Councillors that members
actually valued and wanted the list, perhaps a petition to CILIP with a
significant number of member signatures might serve to re-open the case?
In response to Miranda's point about being approached by Councillors, as
a National Councillor - as I have said on this list before - I am happy
to be approached about anything to do with CILIP by any member. I am
sure that other Councillors feel the same way about their 'constituency'
members whether they be Group, Branch or, like me a National Councillor.
All Councillor e-mail addresses are posted on the CILIP website
(http://www.cilip.org.uk/aboutcilip/howcilipworks/structure/council/contac
t/).
But I think the onus is on members to contact us - in most cases we do
not know many members... and can only communicate via LIS-CILIP
