However, the problem may be more complicated and require more detailed
advice. This is why all Members of CILIP now have access to The Work
Foundation online services and helpline staffed by experts in employment
law and human resource management.
The Employment Law helpline is a confidential service. In monitoring the
effectiveness and use of the service to CILIP members the advice team
may occasional contact members to gain feedback on the service received.

The Work Foundation online services include:
Employment Law Helpline - Experienced employment law advisors with
practical HR backgrounds will provide you with unlimited and realistic
advice on the law and HR issues. Call the helpline on 020 7004 7373
between 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday, quoting your CILIP membership
number.
Vetting - A low cost service to ensure your existing and new HR policies
reflect best practice and current UK/EU legislation.
Library Catalogue - Search the The Work Foundation library holdings
online and download various reports and company policies. Loan
facilities are not available, but CILIP members are welcome to visit 3
Carlton House Terrace and use the library for reference purposes.
Management Factsheets - Two page summaries on a variety of employment
issues from absence to whistleblowing.
Employment Law update - a quarterly alert about new employment
legislation in the UK.
In Review - Sign up for an alerting service, In Review is a monthly
newsletter that provides short reviews of management books, reports,
journal articles, plus some links to useful online articles and
websites. Each issue includes some material on that month's theme plus
some details of new resources on other subjects.
Statistics - Check the latest statistical information on subjects
including absence, labour turnover, hours and holidays.
The Working future - New research journal covering workplace issues.
