I can't speak for any of the other groups, but on Day 1 of CILIP I was
nominated as the UKOLUG councillor by the UKOLUG committee because that
was the way it was done under the IIS. I have no idea how it was done
under under the LA. However, all Group councillors, including myself,
will now have been nominated and elected according to the standard CILIP
Group rules. That means that all Group members who are members of CILIP
elect their Group councillor. In practice, though, if there is only one
nomination, then then no ballot is required. So I suppose that because I
was the only nomination last time around I received 0 votes!!
Hmmm.....I'll get my coat and leave.
