Research Assistant - Queen Mary, University of London
Applications are invited for a short-term temporary research assistant
post within the Department of Geography, Queen Mary, University of
London. The appointed person will be expected to manage and analyse a
large data-set under the direction of, and in collaboration with, the
project leader Dr Steven Cummins. The main role of the appointee
will be to undertake bivariate and multivariate analyses of a recently
collected Scottish dataset on food access and contribute to report writing.
This is an ideal position for someone who has recently completed, or is
completing, a Masters degree in an appropriate discipline and is looking
for short-term practical work experience. Preference will be given to
candidates with a qualification in Quantitative Human Geography,
Epidemiology, Social Statistics or other numerate subject.

This is a two-month post in the first instance with the possibility of
extension for a further period. Salary will be £23,737 including London
weighting (Grade 4, sp24). The preferred start date is negotiable but is
expected to be in August 2006. Candidates should already have the right
to live and work in the UK.
