Job Description
The Department is one of the largest in the country with an active research culture and highly successful undergraduate and postgraduate programmes servicing 900 students. The Department values research highly and was awarded a grade 4 in the most recent RAE exercise and expects to improve this in 2008. As a result of retirements we are now seeking to make the following appointment to this vibrant Department.
We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer who can contribute to Human Geography teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Candidates should have a PhD and an excellent track record in research, with publications and indicators of peer esteem to demonstrate this. Candidates from any area of Human Geography are encouraged to apply but preference may be given to candidates with a focus on urban and/or social geography.

Candidates should possess a PhD and relevant experience. They should have an excellent track record in research, with publications and ideally external funding to demonstrate this.
