Call for papers: The 30 Denton Conference on Implicit Religion.
Friday 11th - Sunday 13th of May 2007
Denton Hall in Yorkshire, United Kingdom, has been the seat of academic weekends devoted to
research on implicit religion and contemporary spirituality since the late 1970s. From Friday,
the11th to Sunday, the 13th of May 2007 the Denton Conference on Implicit Religion will be
markingits 30 th anniversary.According to tradition, the aim of the conference is to bring together
researchers from various disciplines interested in the role and manifestations of religion outside
the realm ofestablished religious institutions. You are kindly invited to offer papers for the
conference.
The themes for 2007 Denton Conference are:
* Origins of Implicit Religion
* Definitions of Implicit Religion
* New Frontiers in Implicit Religion
* Popular Culture and Implicit Religion
* Implicit Religion, Science and Technology
* Multidisciplinary Approaches to the Study of Implicit Religion
The initiator of the Denton Conferences and pioneer of implicit religion
research, Dr. Edward I. Bailey will deliver a keynote speech with the title: Studying Implicit
Religion, 1967-2007.
The deadline for proposals of papers is the 30th of October 2006. Please send your abstracts
