Hi Everyone,
We have a couple of tenure-track Assistant Professor position openings
here at Nova, one in strategy and one in marketing (loosely defined) and
we’re very (VERY) keen to get applications from
artistically/creatively/culture/humanities minded people.
Nova is the Stanford/Harvard of Portugal—it’s top university—and Lisbon is
a lovely, lively place, full of fantastic food, culture, and people (and
the weather’s beautiful as well and the cost of living quite reasonable).
We don’t have separate departments—rather, there’s a school of management
(where all of us from the various mgmt. disciplines sit—in a beautiful
building I might add), and an econ. faculty where all the economists sit.
We have a number of ‘artful’ people already on the faculty (e.g., Miguel
Cunha, Stefan Meisiek, Rita Cunha, Joao Cunha), and are looking to add
several more—our hope is to form a strong international hub in this area,
becoming a well-known, rich center for arts and humanities-informed
research, teaching, and practice.
If you know of anyone (or are yourself looking around), please contact me
([log in to unmask]) or Stefan Meisiek ([log in to unmask]). Stefan will be
at the Academy of Mgmt. this year if you’d like to talk more about the
school and jobs. Send us your CV and a note, and we’ll take it from there.
I’m also attaching the AoM announcement below—it’s a pro-forma blurb, so
don’t read too much into it. D.
