The National Association of Mining History Organisations (NAMHO)
conference in 2007, 15-17 June, is to be held in the Tamar Valley
which forms the border between Devon and Cornwall in the the
south-west of England. A lecture programme is planned to reflect the
long history of mining in the area - 'Pennies to Pesticide: mineral
exploitation in the Tamar Valley through eight centuries' - along
with contributions commenting on the way that mining heritage in the
area is currently being promoted.
If list members wish to contribute to the programme would they please
contact me, off list, by e-mail - providing a short abstract of their
proposed paper.
