Dear friends,
I've attached below an internal announcement at De Montfort University
about studentships at DMU. I'm told they are not particularly seeking any
more students in the Humanities, but that high quality student applications
would be considered. Of course we are seeking more students in textual
scholarship, but the administration hasn't gotten that picture in focus yet.
A reason for high quality students interested in textual scholarship to
apply for the program at DMU is their supervision will be by Professors
Julia Briggs, A S G (Tony) Edwards, and / or Peter Shillingsburg in the
Centre for Textual Scholarship, which currently has funded research projects
in Modernist Magazines, Virginia Woolf, and the Brownings.
If you should know of a student who might beat out the science
applicants, please bring the message below to that person's attention.
Thanks much.
Peter
