Dear all,
as requested by Graeme, I've tested a few hot SRM 2.2 endpoints with
my SRM 2.2 client. This humble report has nothing earth-shattering in
it, as it mostly confirms what other people already reported yesterday.
I was hoping to have a more sophisticated test suite ready by the end
of today, unfortunately, I've scripted only the full Put/Get 2.2 cycle,
which means 5 SRM methods:
srmPrepareToGet
srmPrepareToPut
srmPutDone
srmStatusOfGetRequest
srmStatusOfPutRequest
All of the following endpoints work! In other words, I was able to put
a file in and get it back.
DPM SRM 2.2
srm://lxdpm01.cern.ch:8446/dpm/cern.ch/home/dteam
dCache SRM 2.2
srm://fledgling06.fnal.gov:8443/srm/managerv2?SFN=/fnal.gov/litvinse/NULL/testers
CASTOR SRM 2.2
srm://lxb1389.cern.ch:8442/castor/cern.ch/user/j/jmencak/castor
I was hoping to test LBL SRM 2.2 server too, but I'm currently not
authorised to run tests against this SRM. I've asked for authorisation
this morning.
One thing that caught my eye is how different SRM 2.2 servers return
different status codes, even to indicate success. This is, I guess,
inevitable due to the nature of the SRM 2.2 spec and client writers
will have a lot of fun to write a client (or scripts for their client)
that works with all server implementations.
ATM my client supports 13 out of 39 SRM 2.2 methods. I'll keep the
<[log in to unmask]> list posted when I'm done and have a more complete
test suite.
All the best.
