German Teaching Assistant

Applications are invited for a three-year funded doctoral research
studentship and Teaching Assistantship at University College London
German Department, to begin in September 2006.
The successful applicant will complete a PhD in the German Department
on any area of German literature, linguistics, historical or cultural
studies. Applicants must meet the normal academic requirements for
acceptance for postgraduate study in the Department of German. The
candidate will be expected to teach 4-6 hours per week in any area of
German literary, linguistic, historical or cultural studies. Preference
may be given to candidates specialising in medieval studies.
Remuneration will consist of UCL graduate fees plus the standard UCL
studentship rate (currently £14,000 p.a., increase pending).
