Larry stated....
We have met, not in the best of circumstances, and where I do find common
ground with her is in the description of her schooldays, however she is
resolutely a-political and that is a big fault in someone who is so
highprofile, and whose appearance reach out to more of the unknowing public
than you or I do.
My reply.... So Larry, Temple Grandin is 'a-political', then what does that
say about her as a disabled women in her position who has the 'power' to
'speak-out' on basic human rights and civil liberities to enable
neurodiverse people to be seen and accepted as being 'different'. not seen
as 'brain-damaged' crips within the medical-model, to feed the eugenic
fenzied scientific let 'cure-all' all those poor pitied
autistic/neurodiverse people who are suffering so much and we must 'cure'
them to make their life's better for society to 'accept' them and change
their neurodiverse behaviour through '(eu)genetics' and medical 'cures' to
fit them into this ablied-bodied 'neurotypical' world, or if Temple thinks
we are like animals, then she might want to take sides with the psychiatric
model and, like they do with 'cows', then give 'US' a few more electric
shocks with their prodders, or silly me is this not called 'ECT' and already
'exists'?
Prehaps Temple could become a member of the Royal School of Psychiatry and
teach them how to give ECT in a more humanistic way ;-), or better still she
could be invited to 'train' all the Trustees at DANDA, who I've been told
today that DANDA is a 'non(a)-political' neurodiverse organisation by Mary
Colley and she wants DANDA to stay that way then, as a 'medical-model'
pittied 'CHARITY', they can get out their 'collection boxes' on the London
streets and 'victimise' and 'patronise; themselves and 'sell-off' their
'political' (nothing about us, without us') values to the nearest bidder, or
could that be to the National Autistic Society(NAS), who may fund DANDA and
would is not be in the interests of DANDA then to have Temple Grandin as
their patron ;-)
