A short course entitled "Evaluating measures and setting targets to increase cycle use" is being run at the University of Leeds on Thursday 29th June 2006.
The course will contain the following sessions:
-Review of measures to promote cycle use including engineering, planning and other interventions.
-Transport demand and mode choice modelling applied to cycling - factors of importance.
-Monitoring cycling - ATC and other data collection and use.
-Workshop on setting of robust local targets for cycle use and monitoring of those targets.
The course will be held at the Institute for Transport Studies, University of Leeds. Refreshments will be provided during the course.
The course starts at 10am and finishes at 4.30pm. The cost is £150. The course is led by myself, with Dr Andy Cope from Sustrans and Matthew Page from ITS Leeds.
