The website for the Centre for Anglo-German Cultural Relations (CAGCR) at
Queen Mary (London) has now been activated. It can be found here:

Inaugurated on December 1 2005 by the German Ambassador, the CAGCR
facilitates comparative research dealing with the British and German
language cultural traditions, with a special focus on the fields of
literature, language and linguistics, philosophy and literary theory, and
drama / comparative cultural practice.
Beginning in October 2006, the CAGCR will launch a new MA Programme in
Anglo-German Cultural Relations. Information about this programme can be

Two international conferences are being organised for 2007, and both are
currently asking for proposals:
1. 'Anglo-German Mythologies in Literature, the Visual Arts and
Cultural Theory':
