Registration is now open for 6th Grace Hopper Celebration (GHC) of
Women in Computing Conference: October 4-7, 2006 in San Diego,
California. The Grace Hopper Celebration is the leading conference
for women in the field of computer science and provides a forum to
inspire, educate, encourage and create awareness of opportunities
for women in the field of computing and to celebrate the
considerable achievement of women in the field. This year's theme,
Making Waves, emphasizes the expanding circles of influence and
impact women have on the computing and technology fields.

The GHC Preliminary Program has been posted. The conference

About the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing:
The Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing is a program of
the Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology and is co-
presented by The Anita Borg Institute(www.anitaborg.org) and the
Association of Computing Machinery - ACM (www.acm.org).
Inspired by the legacy of Admiral Grace Murray Hopper the
Conference is designed to bring the research and career interests
of women in computing to the forefront. It is largest gathering of
Women in Computing in the World and includes leading women from
industry and government, professors and researchers, graduate and
undergraduate students. The conference includes plenary sessions,
technical papers, panels, poster sessions and workshops by
successful researchers and professionals in the area of computer
