The NHS Service Delivery and Organisation (SDO) R&D Programme strives to
produce and promote the use of research evidence about how the organisation
and delivery of services can be improved to increase the quality of patient
care, ensure better strategic outcomes and contribute to improved public
health.
The SDO Programme is continuing its programmes of work which includes

Workforce Issues
'The role, organisation and management of support staff on secondary care'.
Funding within a total budget of £800,000 is available for up to three
studies, each within an envelope of £150,000 to £400,000 that should take
from 18 months to no longer than 3 years to complete and start no later than
December 2006.
If any member/cohort of members would like to pursue this exciting
opportunity on behalf of the NHS Faculty of Health Informatics, please note
that applicants are asked to submit full proposals for the above call by
Wednesday 26th July at 1.00pm quoting reference number OP124
