Dear Helen,
There could be two reasons why you can't see the "Defence of Britain"
thesaurus in your HBSMR:
1) You could still be on an old version of the EH Thesaurus which didn't
have the DoB Thesaurus. In this case it would be advisable to upgrade
your Thesaurus with the HBSMR upgrade tool.
2) If you are on the latest version of the Thesaurus (version 5)
already, it might be that it was decided during a thesaurus upgrade that
you don't want to have the DoB Thesaurus available in HBSMR.
Please give me a call to discuss things - we can then check which
Thesaurus version you are currently on and take the relevant steps to
activate the DoB Thesaurus.
Best wishes,
Tobi.

Yup, 3.25, presumably if we did have it we would be able to search for
'aircraft crash site' and it would exist..!? I had a look at the
thesaurus via the inscription website, thanks to Mark Bennet.

Do you use HBSMR? If so and its version 3 plus you should have it
available. Whether it is active or not I don't know, and you may need to
chat to Exegesis

I was just wondering since we don't seem to have it in ours, which is
odd. Unless I'm being stupid.

Hi Helen
we have it in our system as we use HBSMR which incorporates it.
We also use it to index records against (the latter does not
automatically follow from the former - it is possible not to use it in
HBSMR if you wish)
best wishes
