At http://gforge.org/forum/forum.php?thread_id=2784&forum_id=6&group_id=1
it says that UseNewFmtStrings is only recognised by CVS >= 1.12. But if I
log onto the cvs server and do
[dsb@saturn CVSROOT]$ cvs -v
I get
Concurrent Versions System (CVS) 1.11.2 (client/server)
which is odd...
Looking at the history of the /cvs/CVSROOT/config file, the most recent
entry was by Duncan 19 months ago, with the comment "Modified Config to
add in UseNewFmtStrings=yes again". So that suggests that we had a version
of CVS >= 1.12 at the time (since cvs has been working OK until recently),
but that somehow the version has recently dropped back to 1.11.2.
Has a different version of cvs been installed on saturn recently?
