Should we perhaps see the OCP schema as a "local editing schema", which
many projects use, for authoring data in the simplest possible form
with no distraction and complication for the less XML-literate
contributors, and which may be converted to a simple TEI (or other
standard) schema for publication and interchange at some point? (I
guess this is special pleading, since there is currently no plan that I
know of to upgrade to TEI, but the point is it could be easily done,
and probably without loss of data richness.)
(I second Juan's suggestion to add your excellent sitography to the DC
Wiki, by the way. This has been--and I hope will continue to be--an
extremely useful on-list discussion.)
