The following two events may interest your community and readership:
* First the Privacy Enhancing Technologies workshop is taking place at
the end of June in Cambridge, UK (along with the Economics of
Information Security Workshop). This is the premiere venue for
discussing how to provide anonymity, privacy and censorship resistance
in technological systems.
Information and registrations open at: http://petworkshop.org/2006/
* Second, we are organizing a 3-day Privacy Technology Course here in
Belgium (K.U.Leuven), with specialists from all over Europe presenting 3
hour introductions to their respective subjects. It is part of a 2-week
long general security summer course.
This will be at the level of a finishing CS undergraduate, starting
graduate, or someone in Industry. So if anyone wants an introduction to
Privacy technolgy and computer security this is the place to be in
Europe. Also: Free for students, cheap for academics (150 euro for 2
weeks), but a bit more expensive for industry.
