I thought the comments (from you) came before the b/c 'attacks'?
You do seem to be the initiator in this.

I'm sure that this is the case. This doesn't justify personal attacks or
attacks on poet's work.

I'm not sure that others on this list will be.
My reasons for considering b/c were to keep the volume of email traffic
down - to avoid irritating other list members - and to avoid any potential
embarrassment to me/you.
I'm sure that others who sent b/c to you had some of those concerns in mind
too *although I can't be sure* as none of us can be entirely sure about
other people's motivations.
