We are also working on a number of new eprint types to match RAE outputs
and would be interested in exchanging notes. The types we are currently
developing on our test server are Exhibition, Performance/Live Event,
Artefact/Device, Graphic/still work and Design. For digital/visual media
we are working with eprint types for sound file and moving image. We are
considering use of a new field in line with monograph_type to develop
narrower subgroups for the three dimensional and digital/visual media
related types
Our eprints repository is currently on a test server and not yet
accessible outside the institution. We intend to move across to the
production version in the next few weeks

John,
We are feeding through all the developments we make and of course we are
happy to share information about specific modifications. I guess the
best place for this is through the e-Prints tech list and Wiki where the
software developers can provide any technical details that you need.
We are still working through our music types at the test stage. Once we
have an example which can be populated with information I am happy for
anyone to comment. If we can reach an agreement on a consistent approach
that would be great.
Wendy

Wendy,
Would it be possible to know how you are mapping the existing fields to
those required by the RAE? For example, for the Performance type are you
using the Note or the Abstract field to hold the performance
description?
I can make up my own local mappings but it would be more sensible if
there
was a general agreement about this.
Regards,
John.
