To me another definition and notion gets into my mind when I think about
"value" and maybe quality of wisdom and life and so. One central notion to
this is, as far as I am concerned and with the knowledge I have at current
times, the notion of Entelechy like expressed by Aristotle and much later on
the great Charles Sander Peirce. My own perception and conception of what
this notion actually incorporates is a very broad one, incorporating a great
part of the Pirsig thoughts. And much more. This entelechy in fact is what I
am thriving for in many aspects of life.
Kind regards,
Wilfred Berendsen

Keith, David, Nick et al,
Keith, talk is futile is it ?
The phrase being picked-up on here is
"the capacity to realize what is of value in life"?
That's "realize" as in "make real".
Like David, the Pirsigian connection rings with me every time I hear
"value" and I've been making the same links with Wisdom, ever since
Nick raised the idea with us all.
Regards
Ian
