Personnally I do not invest any credibility in the notion of a field as
used in physics as, by it, forces are made to be secondary to the field
when in reality it is forces that are the immediate representation of the
properties of attraction and repulsion; fields are by nature homogenous
(without that property there is no basis for conceiving of them at all)
and therefore cannot in themselves engender a manifold of competing such
effects. Their homogeneity can only be physically ineffectual: nothing
will come of nothing.
Cheers,
Tom
