I agree with Roger that EGRG involvement would be a very good idea. Maybe
one way forward is to ask for ideas as to what such a syllabus should
cover. If I were to suggest one theme, more pertinent than the ones
Castells dealt
with in the 1990s for the most part, I would say that it should be spatial
inequality and development embracing examples from Europe, China and Latin
America .... and getting sixth formers to pay considerable attention to
other parts of the world.

This is really helpful approach: EGRG should definitely be involved in some
way. THis kind of work can be quite time consuming but perhaps we could
suggest that we are very keen to be involved and ask what Simon has in mind
re a formal commitment from us?
