Dear All,
Job opportunity! Due to Zoe Crossland's being successfully head-hunted
by Columbia (the university in New York, rather than the South American
country) I need a research assistant for the remaining 15 months of our
Leverhulme-funded project on the modern body in death. The work is
essentially to collect together archaeologically-derived information
about British burial practices from the Reformation onwards, to
synthesize that information and work with me and on Zoe's foundations to
produce a book-length account. Would suit smart, pleasant person with
recently completed PhD and some experience of researching British
archaeology. Job details are on the University of Leicester website and
on jobs.ac.uk.

Some flexibility about the starting date. The ad says 1st July, but we
can't possibly make that. But as soon as possible after that would be
good. E me or phone 0116 252 2846 (although I'll not be in the office
much this afternoon) if you want to discuss it,
Sarah Tarlow
