LECTURESHIP IN TAIWANESE STUDIES
Applications are invited for a Lectureship in Taiwanese Studies to run from
01 October 2006. This is a fixed-term unestablished appointment for three
years in the first instance, and with the possibility of re-appointment for
a further two years.
The post will be open to any scholar with a proven record of teaching and
research excellence in Taiwanese Studies. (S)he would be expected to teach
and examine using English. (S)he would be expected to publish research in
his/her field of Taiwanese studies and to promote that field by organizing
lecturers, seminars and supervising graduate research and helping with
administration.
The pensionable scale of stipends for a temporary lecturer is currently
£31,525 to £39,935 a year.

30 June 2006. Two references are required for each application and the
applicant should ask the referees to make sure that the reference reaches
the Secretary by the same deadline.
