Adrian and co
given quality responses so far... and given that I've just met a couple of other people not yet on the list... and given that the OU team has been thinking about conference themes for next year, I wonder if a big conference might be good to launch a seminar series as you propose.
best,
Graham

Subject: Seminar series?
Hi,
is there any interest in a seminar series on embodiment? I've considered
organizing a conference on embodiment, but given the breadth of the
subject I wonder if a series of smaller more focused seminars might suit
our purpose better. Two questions: Are you interested in the idea of a
seminar series in principle, and if so which topics would be of
interest? If we have sufficient interest and a manageable set of topics,
I'll look into funding.
My own interests lie around embodied knowing and cognition, situated
knowing, embodied metaphor theory (Lakoff and Johnson), etc.; the body
in ritual; how the relationship between body and environment/space
impacts on our sense of being-in-the-world.
Cheers!
Adrian
