Position offered: KTP Associate for Napier University & NCR Financial Solutions Group Limited
Salary: Excellent and competitive (based on university scales for Research Associate).
Starting July 2006 for a 3-year fixed-length contract, based in Dundee
Scope: To develop a user-centred biometric technology evaluation framework, to assess the suitability of new technologies for use in the ATM environment.
Required: Minimum 1st or 2.1 degree in computer science, psychology, ergonomics, anthropology, human factors, or similar.
Key criteria: excellent communication/presentation, problem-solving and interpersonal skills, team-player
A highly self-motivated graduate with experience of HCI research methods, a passion for research and an enthusiasm for biometrics is sought for this challenging opportunity. You will work within NCR, seconded from Napier, to evaluate emerging biometric technology.
This is a unique opportunity to apply methods developed in academia, working with the research teams of a global leader in the field. This involves bridging theory and practice and finding pragmatic solutions.
