Here are a couple of suggestions for fairly recent films:
Bread and Roses (2000) by Ken Loach, about contract cleaning staff's fight to unionise in downtown LA
Edukators (Fetten Jahre sind vorbei, Die ) (2004) by Hans Weingartner, about anti-capitalist urban
interventions (with a kidnapping plot thrown in)
The documentary accompanying Naomi Klein's book No Logo (directed by Sut Jhally, 2003)
I'm sure there are a lot more out there.
Kendra.
