This had me scratching my head for a bit. The code looked fine. Came
to it afresh today and soon found that it was a Fortran 66 feature in
Fortran 77 and 90, but was withdrawn. "DATA statements among
executables" The SAVE statement had to be before the function
assigments statements in NUM_DEF_CVT. What DATA statement?
While floating-point variables for DO loops should never have been
allowed (cf. PERIOD), I can't see that this was doing much harm.
Shades of pot noodling there with PERIOD Brad. Hope you had a long
shower to wash away the filth!
