ES- is an archaizing form. EIS- is more likely to appear in Koine.
The broader meaning of *koine* is the common, pagan form of Greek that
developed in the Roman period The NT is related to koine, but Plutarch
writes koine & Plutarch looks nothing like NT Greek.
