medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
On another site, I read: "He died at Cluny after preaching about the
Solemnity of Christmas to his monks, and was buried at the very southern end
of the ambulatory in the abbey church. His tomb was violated in 1562 and
razed in 1792, but some remains were discovered in 1931, concealed in the
stable."
Anyone have a clue what this is about? What stable? And what evidence, if
any, of the genuineness of the relics?
Thanks, MG
