Dear Colleague:
The Editors in charge of "Bookshelf" would like to invite you to review
the following book for Annali d'Italianistica:
M. Del Serra. Le foglie della sibilla.
The review we are asking you to write should conform to the guidelines
for category ( 2 ).
AdI publishes reviews according to two categories:
(1) A review of no more than 800 words: This review is descriptive
in nature and presents a summary of the book's content and a brief
evaluation;
(2) A review of no more than 1000 words: This review contains a
descriptive summary and a rather extensive critical evaluation. Neither
footnotes nor endnotes are allowed in book reviews; please insert all
pertinent bibliographic information within parentheses. Reviews that
exceed the suggested length will be returned to the reviewer. All
quotations must have page references. Further information concerning the
journal's style is available on the journal's website
(www.ibiblio.org/annali), which you are urged to consult.
You may submit your review electronically as an attachment in Microsoft
Word for pc. Please submit your review within six months after receiving
the book. For reviews to appear in any given year, they must be received
by June 30 of that year. If you do not submit your review within twelve
months, you will be asked to return the book, so that it may be assigned
to another reviewer.
A monographic journal of Italian studies founded in 1983, AdI has become
one of the most respected Italian journals in this country and overseas.
Its circulation exceeds five hundred copies. All book reviews will
appear in print and also on the journal's website
(www.ibiblio.org/annali), from which you can download your review.
AdI is an independent journal that receives no subsidy from either an
academic association or university. If you are not a subscriber, I WOULD
LIKE TO URGE YOU TO SUBSCRIBE (see the journal’s website for
information). In addition to the annual AdI, you will also receive free
of charge the volumes of the series Studi e Testi sponsored by the
journal. If your University does not subscribe, I trust you will
encourage your librarian to do so.
I would like to thank you for your interest in AdI, and look forward to
your valued collaboration.
Very truly yours,
Dino S. Cervigni, Editor
