Thank you for your recommendation. It looks like "period.start" and "period.end" will suit me nicely.
That is essentially the same we were going to do. My only concern is that I do not see "Period" listed as one of DC elements/qualifiers. What it is, actually?
The document you have pointed says that Period can be used to refine Date and Coverage elements. But I do not see it on the qualifiers' list at http://dublincore.org/documents/2005/11/07/usageguide/qualifiers.shtml .
How it is from interoperability standpoint?
