Dear Renaud,
This is extremely helpful for us. We will discuss these and get back to you
in case of questions.
I have just one question for now, do you have these defined in an RDF schema
or as part of a namespace?
Thank you,
Gauri

Gauri: The Government of Canada has created a list of type terms in English
and French for web resources. You'll find a link to Government of Canada
Type Scheme on this page:
http://www.tbs-sct.gc.ca/im-gi/mwg-gtm/typ-typ/intro_e.asp. The final report
by the group who developed the list is also linked from this page. It
outlines the scope, application and management of the scheme.
You can read our guidance how to applying type in the "Government of Canada
Metadata Implementation Guide for Web Resources" at:
http://www.tbs-sct.gc.ca/im-gi/mwg-gtm/ts-sf/docs/2005/migwr-gpmrw/migwr-gpmr
wtb_e.asp.
All Government of Canada web pages are available in English and French. You
can toggle between them by clicking on "Français" or "English" at the top of
every page.
If you have any questions or comments about this, I'll be very happy to
discuss them with you.
Gregory Renaud

Subject: dc:type
Dear All,
We at the Food and Agricultural Organization are working towards developing a
comprehensive list to describe resource types (dc:type). The current DCMIType
list does not meet all our requirements. Before we start with the process of
expanding our list to accommodate all sorts of resource types, we would like
to know if anyone on this list has already done this. Are any of your own
organizations using similar expanded lists, and if so, is it possible to
reuse them in our applications?
Thanks in advance,
Gauri
