Hello one and all,
We are considering a 'Stakeholder Awareness Session' as part of the
periodic review of our Contaminated Land Strategy.
I can see that involving consultees and the usual bodies could be of
value in raising awareness but I have the following reservations and
would appreciate your views:
1) Will any statutory bodies actually send anybody to a non-CPD event?
Or even respond to an invitation?
2) Will therefore the bulk of the attendance be local bodies eg. parish
councils, developers?
3) Might the future implications on resources for maintaining the
relations and controlling the local 'enthusiasm' formed by such and
event be counterproductive?
What about 'scaremongering' and risking a surge of FOI's on the
existence of the list of prioritised sites?
Any input would be gratefully received.
