Darren,
the register is intended to be a record of the regulatory action
taken, therefore details only go on after you have decided what's going
to happen i.e. after a Remediation Statement, Remediation Notice,
Agreement, Claimed Remediation .
That's my understanding.

Subject: Contaminated Land Determination and Public Register Query
I am about to determine one of our landfill sites as contaminated land
and have been informed by our legal team that the determination only
goes on the public register after service of a remedial notice. I
thought that as soon as the determination is made that it is placed on
the register, which seems to be make sense as service of remediaiton
notice may not be necessary.
Can anyone confirm the part of the guidance/ legislation that states
when the determination document is placed on the public register.
Many thanks in advance
