CALL FOR ATTENDANCE
MAC 2006:
A Workshop on Multi-channel Adaptive Context-sensitive (MAC) Systems:
Building Links Between Research Communities
Yudovitz Seminar Room, Wolfson Medical School
University of Glasgow, 15th May 2006
http://www.dcs.gla.ac.uk/~rich/mac/
Attendance is encouraged from all researchers into the design, modelling and implementation of multi-channel, context-sensitive applications, in order to stimulate collaboration from those approaching the problem from a variety of approaches - for instance data-intensive internet applications, business process modelling, adaptive user interfaces or pervasive and ubiquitous systems. The programme includes a keynote presentation from Professor Anthony Finkelstein of University College and a number of papers from a variety of perspectives. As the goal of the workshop is to encourage cross-specialty fertilisation, the afternoon will be taken up with group discussions and we will invite short contributions from attendees on these topics.
In order to encourage attendance, the workshop is deliberately low cost. The costs, which cover proceedings and lunch, are as follows:
Paper presenters Free
Research students Free
BCS HCI Group members £25
Other Attendees £50
Payment will be due on the day in the form of cash or a cheque, but please e-mail the workshop organisers ([log in to unmask]) to register for the event. Meals will be arranged from the evenings of the 14th and 15th May which will need to be separately paid for.
Details of the accepted papers and information about local accommodation (with university discounts) are available from the workshop website (http://www.dcs.gla.ac.uk/~rich/mac/ ).
