From having worked on excavations of victorian backyards these look like
a clay pipe rest and ashtray respectively. I might be wrong though. Have
clay pipes been found nearby ?

Does anybody have any idea what these might be? The ceramic piece is
11cm in
diameter and the glass piece 8cm. The smaller pieces seem to fit with
the
larger but there is no evidence of use or wear. Victorian kitchen
equipment?
They were found in a garden which could be a red herring. Possibly one
of
those things that you either recognise immediately or, like us, have no
ideal. Any help much appreciated.
