Professor in Social Policy

The School of Applied Social Science is an established centre for applied
social research. In recent years the School has expanded and developed
innovative inter-disciplinary social science research and curricula, whilst
sustaining a strong presence in social policy. To continue our development
we wish to appoint a new Professor of Social Policy to work alongside
Professors of Health and Social Care, Psycho(-)social Studies, and
Criminology and with subject groups in social policy, sociology, applied
psychology, social work and counselling. Candidates with any specialism will
be considered but you must have the capacity to lead and support junior
staff in an active research environment. Your ability to innovate,
critically engage with the subject and work across disciplines will be
important. You will have a relevant Phd, an international reputation in
research, an outstanding record of publications and the ability to attract
research funding.
